Are you ready to understand, appreciate, and connect with the vibrant Indigenous cultures in Canberra?
Evolve Communities offers engaging and impactful cultural awareness training in Canberra designed to enrich workplaces, foster allyship, and build genuine connections with the history and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Understanding the unique heritage of First Nations people is essential for creating an inclusive and respectful workplace. Through our training, we guide you on a journey to understand not only the cultural significance but also the historical context that impacts Indigenous communities today. With the tools we provide, you’ll be equipped to:
At Evolve Communities, our training is led by Aunty Munya Andrews, a respected Aboriginal Bardi Elder from the Kimberley region, and Carla Rogers, a dedicated Indigenous Ally, Churchill Fellow, and well-known facilitation, learning design and community engagement expert.
Together, they crafted the 7 Steps to Practical Reconciliation and Allyship™, a framework that forms the foundation of our programs and endorsed by thousands of companies Australia-wide. Our sessions are led by an Evolve Accredited facilitator pair–one Indigenous and one non-Indigenous–who model allyship in action.
Canberra is the land of the Ngunnawal, Ngunawal, and Ngambri people, offering a variety of Indigenous cultural experiences that help enrich your understanding. From guided cultural tours by local Elders to interactive workshops on traditional crafts like weaving and painting, Canberra provides countless opportunities to connect with First Nations culture. But beyond touching the surface, what can you do to connect on a deeper level with the Aboriginal heritage of Canberra and truly show up as an ally to our First Nation Brothers and Sisters?
